Airbus Defence and Space has delivered the 15th A400M multi-role military transporter aircraft to the German Air Force, the company announced on 15 January.

Germany has a total of 53 A400M aircraft on order.

To date, the French Air Force has received 13 aircraft out of 50 ordered. The aircraft are currently being used to  transport soldiers and equipment in two major French counter-terrorism deployments: Operation Chammal in the Middle East and Operation Barkhane in Africa.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) has received 18 A400Ms from the total 22 ordered. The aircraft's first deployment was in support of RAF Operation Ruman, delivering food, water and essential aid to UK dependencies and other Caribbean islands following the hurricanes in 2017.

Other RAF operations performed by the Atlas are regular transport flights to Cyprus in support of Operation Shader; and the detachment of an aircraft to the Middle East to support UK forces around the Arabian Gulf.
