AAR to manage repairs of UK MoD's BAe146 fleet
AAR has been selected to manage the repairs of the UK Ministry of Defence's (MoD) fleet of BAe146 aircraft, it announced on 7 May.
Under the two-year agreement with a one-year renewal option, AAR will serve as the exclusive manager and single source of all repairs, spare parts and unit exchanges for the MoD's fleet. The agreement replaces a 2012 deal that established AAR as an exclusive supplier.
The Royal Air Force's (RAF) fleet of four BAe146 aircraft are operated by 32 RAF Squadron from Northolt base. The fleet primarily supports UK operations and also provides immediately available VVIP service to various UK government customers.
Andy Murphy, senior vice president, business development, AAR, said: 'We are excited to grow our relationship with the UK MoD and to provide them with an efficient and cost-effective component repair and procurement programme supporting the vital operational roles these aircraft play.
'With our experience managing sophisticated supply chains and our history of solid execution, we look forward to continuing to build on a mutually beneficial partnership with the MoD.'
