Thailand upgrades FCS of M60A3
The Royal Thai Army (RTA) received its first five M60A3 MBTs following an upgrade of their fire control system from analogue to digital, plus installation of a new turret drive.
The improvements will enhance the 105mm M68 gun’s accuracy, including long-range engagements against moving or stationary targets.
The upgrade project by Elbit Systems commenced last year. It focused on enhancing day and night performance by installing the combat-proven Thermal Image Fire Control System (TIFCS) and Electric Gun and Turret Drive System (EGTDS).
