Aero India 2017: Controp views Indian market positively

Controp, the Israeli manufacturer of EO/IR sensors and surveillance systems, currently has two primary areas of focus in the Indian market – border and coastal surveillance systems, and payloads for small UAVs.

During a briefing at Aero India 2017 in Bangalore, Hagay Azani, VP of marketing and sales, at Controp told Shephard that the company is supplying its Fox-720 with 10km range over a multi-year contract.

After the deadly Mumbai attack in 2008, India launched an ambitious programme to boost surveillance coverage of its long 7,517km coastline, which includes setting up camera systems on towers and lighthouses.
