ADEX 2017: ROK tactical network starts broadcasting
South Korea’s third-generation digital Tactical Information Communication Network (TICN) for the brigade-and-below level has now been fielded, with the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) exhibiting several example vehicles at Seoul ADEX 2017.
The TICN, designed to turn the ROK Armed Forces into a network-centric and joint force as it is fielded through to 2026, allows video, image, message and voice data to be transmitted ten times faster than the incumbent Spider system.
