UK MoD sees role for military in space industry

As the rapid growth trajectory of the global space industry continues the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) is keen to establish a role for the military within the sector.

An ambitious target set by the UK Space Agency to capture up to 10% of the global space market by 2030 has focused efforts to establish a launch site within the UK to take advantage of the rocketing number of launches taking place, driven by falling costs and commercial demand for mega constellations.
