DAPA hands out slew of contracts in South Korea

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has received a contract to update Link 16 data links aboard FA-50 light fighters belonging to the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF).

On 6 December the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced that it had awarded the deal. DAPA stated that the programme would enhance encryption security on the data link and harden it against interference.

On the same occasion, DAPA said that it plans to award contracts in the first half of 2020 for the same type of Link 16 upgrades to be performed on nine other ROK military platform types such as the
