The US communications arm of Thales has announced an expansion of its business, along with a name change to better represent its focus areas.
In a statement in advance of the AUSA exhibition, it was announced that Thales Communications has changed its name to Thales Defense & Security, effective from 1 October.
The company has increased its technology base and product portfolio through acquisitions and intra-Thales mergers enabling it to move into adjacent markets.
‘Our diversification within the defence, federal, and commercial markets is enabling us to broaden our technology base and increase value to our customers,’ said Michael Sheehan,
