Russian Navy trains for in-flight refuelling
Russian Navy pilots have carried out in-flight refuelling training with the Su-30 SM aircraft for the first time, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced on 19 February.
The training exercise saw the Su-30SM and Su-24M aircraft take off from the Naval Aviation Combat Training Center in Yeisk. The aircraft, piloted by flight crews of the Naval Aviation Directorate and pilots of the Baltic and Black Sea fleets, established more than 100 contacts with the II-78 tanker aircraft.
The number of take-offs and landings totalled more than 40 during the task.
