Philippines seeks pair of helicopter simulators
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is seeking full-motion simulators for both the Leonardo AW109 Power and Bell 412EP platforms, with a tender document published by the Department of National Defense in mid-August.
A budget of PHP246 million ($5.1 million) has been approved for this requirement, which will see two cockpit simulators acquired. Both will be located at the Air Education, Training and Doctrines Command in Fernando Air Base in Batangas.
The bidding document listed six degrees of freedom, a 40º vertical FOV and 200º horizontal FOV, plus compatibility with NVG.
