The Australian Defence Force (ADF) is currently undertaking a number of projects to network and integrate capabilities throughout defence. These include initiatives contained within Plan Jericho, Project AIR 6500 and Joint Project 9711.
The ADF’s requirement is being given added impetus by the arrival of a range of new equipment including F-35, P-8, EA-18G, air warfare destroyers, new frigates and RPAS. The challenge is for industry and commanders to envisage how these disparate platforms can operate together to act as an overall force multiplier for defence.
