Asia-Pacific emerges as the largest export market for US-made USVs

Asian customers have placed one of the largest known international purchases of US-built uncrewed surface vessels, highlighting accelerating regional demand for autonomous maritime capabilities and distributed naval operations.
Asia-Pacific countries are emerging as the leading export market for US-made uncrewed surface vessels (USVs), according to Florida-based autonomous naval systems supplier Maritime Tactical Systems (MARTAC).
An official spokesperson for the company told Shephard that Indo-Pacific nations recently placed one of the largest known international purchases of US-manufactured USVs to date, consisting of 25 Devil Ray T24 and six Devil Ray T38 platforms.
The order signals a shift in the global defence market. Rather than investing solely in trials or technology demonstrations, governments across the region are now committing to larger acquisitions, with autonomous systems becoming an integral part
