USN selects MS-177A sensor provider
The legacy Goodrich Corporation business of Raytheon Technologies has secured a $19.90 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the MS-177A Naval Maritime Experiment Programme.
The contract covers the building and delivery of a qualified state-of-the-art sensor system to support a range of fleet and science technology experiment goals which may include data collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination.
This includes the integration requirements as directed by the Arlington-based Office of Naval Research as well as ensuring configuration with existing systems.
FY2019 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funds will finance the programme and the obligated money will expire at the end of FY2020.
The number of bidders for the contract was not disclosed by the contracting agency.
