Leidos to support Afghan aircraft fleets

Leidos has received an Afghanistan Contractor Logistics Support contract worth up to $728 million from the US Army to support the Afghanistan Air Force (AAF) and Special Mission Wing (SMW) helicopter and fixed-wing fleets, the company announced on 24 October.

Work will be performed in Kabul, Afghanistan, and will run through May 2020.

Leidos will deliver flight operations, maintenance and logistics support, and will provide mentoring for the AAF and SMW to operate and maintain aircraft.

Tim Reardon, president, Leidos Defense and Intelligence, said: ‘This award reflects our commitment to the customer's mission. We look forward to continuing to provide superior flight operations, maintenance, logistics and mentoring expertise.’
