US awards support contract to CACI
The US Army has awarded a contract to CACI International to provide software application development and sustainment support for the army’s Communications-Electronics Command's (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC), the company announced on 3 November.
The three year contract is valued at $25 million.
The company will provide application development and sustainment for a wide range of army enterprise software applications, from historical record-keeping to financial management systems, under the contract.
CECOM SEC ensures operational readiness by developing, providing, integrating, and maintaining army C4ISR, logistics, and business software.
John Mengucci, chief operating officer and president of US operations, CACI, said: ‘This contract award expands our long-standing work with US Army CECOM SEC, which is built on CACI's unique combination of subject matter and domain expertise with sophisticated technology. We will be helping the customer develop and deliver critical applications more securely and cost effectively.’
Ken Asbury, president and chief executive officer, CACI, said: ‘Our new work with the US Army Communications-Electronics Command's Software Engineering Center is a significant strategic win for CACI. We are extremely proud to be helping the army ensure that the applications it relies on to manage its operations from the enterprise to the tactical edge will be developed securely and effectively.’
