UK's Morpheus takes next step
The UK Ministry of Defence has issued an invitation to tender (ITT) for the Battlefield Management Application (BMA) element of Morpheus, the army’s next-generation tactical communication and information system.
Published on 19 August, the ITT calls for a deployable BMA solution that is capable of being integrated into the new open, modular system currently being developed by General Dynamics UK as an evolution of the in-service Bowman communication system.
According to the MoD, the BMA solution is a suite of one or more software applications that can deliver functionality including geospatial services, operating picture, and mission planning and execution for commanders
