Singapore’s artillery is in the midst of introducing a new laser Target Acquisition Designation System (TADS) to increase the efficiency of Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)strike capabilities and accuracy.

The TADS is currently being inducted by Strike Observer Mission (STORM) teams that support army manoeuvres and are attached to units like the infantry or Guards to call for air and land strikes from air or artillery assets.

They can operate at the brigade level with a team of six men, or the battalion level with three men.

The new TADS is formed from two elements. On the top is the high-definition
