World Defense Show 2026: Northrop Grumman to present improved C2 management system
The Northrop Grumman Integrated Battle Command System is in service with Poland and the US Army with another 20 countries believed to have expressed an interest.
Serco has received task orders totalling $46 million as part of the US Navy's Consolidated Afloat Networks Enterprise Services (CANES) IDIQ multiple-award contract.
Under the two task orders, awarded by the Department of the Navy Program Executive Office for C4I programme office, Serco will source and assemble the required IT network systems in hardened shipboard racks for for CVN, DDG, LHD classes of ships and submarines.
CANES is the consolidation and enhancement of the requirements for five existing legacy network programmes, as well as a single support framework for all C4I applications that currently require dedicated infrastructure
to operate delivered and managed legacy systems. These include the Integrated Shipboard Network System, Sensitive Compartmented Information networks and Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System Maritime.
During 2018, Serco has been awarded 11 task orders worth over $104 million from the eight-year CANES IDIQ contract.
