D&S 2015: Saab expands Thai networks
The Thai armed forces are in the final phase of fielding a full network-centric capability.
The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) has received the first of its frigates upgraded with a Saab combat management system (CMS), radar and fire control radar.
Speaking to Shephard learned at the Defence & Security 2015 exhibition in Bangkok, Bjorn Samuelsson, Saab Asia-Pacific’s director of sales and marketing, confirmed that the first Chinese-built Naresuan-class frigate was handed back to the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) in early October after being re-equipped with a Saab 9LV Mk4 CMS, Sea Giraffe AMB radar and Ceros 200 fire control
