DRS Defense Solutions announced that its Technical Services (DRS TSI) business unit is one of seven contractors awarded an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a potential value of up to $362M in support of United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
Under this effort, DRS TSI will support Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC), ensuring USSOCOM's ongoing ability to effectively optimize delivery, sustainment, maintenance and performance of its global enterprise IT specialty services.
"We are uniquely qualified to provide this level of support due to our years of experience in the field," said Dr. Mitchell Rambler, president of DRS TSI. "This contract will draw on skills and capabilities perfected during our deployed support of forces in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as our work on the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Information Enterprise (SIE)."
The work will be performed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., with additional support required on a global basis. The anticipated total contract period of performance is five years with firm-fixed-price and cost-plus fixed-fee line items.
