CRFS has launched a new software tool called RFeye DeepView for forensic spectrum analysis, the company announced on 17 July.

RFeye DeepView allows the user to analyse the RF spectrum in detail to discover signals of interest that might be intermittent or hidden in the noise. It enables the analysis of large data sets in minutes.

DeepView helps the user to rapidly search and drill down to a specific time and frequency and isolate a signal of interest. The I and Q data of a burst lasting a few nanoseconds can then be exported for further analysis or demodulation.

DeepView can be used for various military applications to find, record and analyse short, low power transmissions and exploit signals. The system can also hunt for interference that could negatively impact the performance and safety of avionic, radar and communications systems.
