Cassidian Optronics enters Brazilian market
Cassidian Optronics has announced the establishment of a subsidiary in Brazil in a move to break into the Latin American market for optical and optronic devices.
‘Brazil is one of the major growth markets worldwide,’ Hans-Peter Jungbauer, managing director of Optronbras Ltda said in a statement released on 20 November.
‘A local presence is a prerequisite for participating in public projects such as border surveillance, mineral resources protection or for the modernisation of the armed forces,’ he added.
Current border and coastal protection programmes in Brazil require technological skills from foreign companies, and the government has committed to acquiring these
