Affordability gap to face ‘next administration’
Hon. Frank Kendall, US under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics, at the 32nd Annual National Logistics Forum, in Washington D.C., outlined significant defence budget challenges that will be faced by the next political administration.
Kendall highlighted an increasing focus on ‘innovation’ in current defence planning, explaining that the idea ‘is to use our creativity across the board to try to find ways to do business better, more efficiently and more effectively.
‘To be more creative about the technologies we buy in, different weapon systems, the kind of weapon systems we buy, and how we use them.’
