US Army selects Lockheed for sim upgrade
The US Army has selected a Lockheed Martin-led team to upgrade nearly 500 simulators that form part of its Close Combat Tactical Training (CCTT) collective simulation system.
The Manned Module Modernization (M3) contract is worth up to $356 million and seeks to modernise training while increasing sustainability in support of emerging US Army training requirements and systems, such as the incorporation of new vehicles.
The CCTT M3 programme integrates all facets of combat vehicle operations through computer-based simulations. Vehicles covered include: M1 Abrams; M2 Bradley and Reconfigurable Vehicle Simulator as well as preparing CCTT for new vehicles
