Turkey selects new training aircraft
Turkey will acquire new training aircraft from Pakistan in a deal signed at the IDEAS exhibition in Karachi on 23 November.
The 52 Super Mushshak trainer that will be delivered under to contract are believed to be worth more than $50 million. Pakistan’s Defence Production Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain said, ‘This is the most significant agreement with Turkey in the field of defence.’
The Super Mushshak, a licence-built version of the Saab MFI-17 Supporter, is produced by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC). The order will be delivered in three batches from 2017 to 2019.
