Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army
The company’s mortar trainer received improvements based on soldier’s feedback.
TRU Simulation + Training has announced that it is offering aircraft and synthetic training equipment to a number of the bidders on the Royal Canadian Air Force’s (RCAF) Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) programme.
TRU, part of the Textron group, said that it has the aircraft and simulation expertise to meet the needs of the RCAF.
‘We can supply the T-6, King Air variants as well as a range of Bell rotary-wing platforms and simulators to meet the needs of any of the bidders,’ John Hayward, SVP and GM of TRU’s military business area told Shephard.

The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
