Meggitt Training Systems wins Canadian training contract
Meggitt Training Systems has won a $4.4 million contract extension to provide in-service support for its Small Arms Trainer (SAT) and Indirect Fire Trainer (IFT) systems in use with the Canadian Armed Forces.
The extension was awarded on behalf of the Department of National Defence by Public Services and Procurement Canada. The original contract was awarded in June 2015 to Meggitt’s Quebec subsidiary and included onsite support for health, usage and equipment monitoring at military bases across Canada.
Andrea Czop, VP of strategy, sales and marketing at Meggitt Training Systems, said: ‘Our FATS line of small-arms training simulators provide the highest levels of realism for marksmanship, judgmental and collective training… From military-certified ballistics to lifelike video-based scenarios, we deliver as the system of record in Canada, the United States and allied nations around the world.’
