Hopes grow for KC-390 training
Rheinmetall is providing the training for Brazil’s new KC-390 transport aircraft and believes that this work will allow a further expansion of training services.
The Brazilian Air Force is due to receive 28 aircraft from domestic manufacturer Embraer from early 2018. Embraer expects to receive certification of the KC-390 by the end of 2017.
Stefan Klaes, senior sales manager of flight simulation and Rheinmetall Defence Electronics told Shephard that following its training contract from Embraer, awarded in March, 2016, the company hopes that orders for more than just the first simulator will follow.
