Poland signs offset agreement for Patriot
The Polish government has officially signed an offset agreement with US industry that will pave the way for the purchase of the Patriot integrated air and missile defence (IAMD) system under the Wisla programme.
Sebastian Chwalek, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, presided over the signing ceremony on 23 March between the Treasury and Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, the main contractors in the Wisla programme.
The ceremony brings an end to a lengthy process of contract negotiations, which started back in October 2017.
