Poland prepares for next phase of Patriot buy
Just two weeks since Poland sealed the deal on its initial purchase of Patriot air and missile defence systems, Warsaw is now looking to immediately progress to phase 2.
Contract negotiations for the next phase of Poland’s Wisla programme are likely to commence in the next week, with the first meeting of both sides scheduled for 16 April.
This phase will see Poland procure an additional six Patriot batteries in a modified configuration to phase 1, including a new 360-degree AESA GaN radar and low-cost SkyCeptor missiles to complement the PAC-3 MSE already purchased.
