LAAD 2017: Avibras pushes new 4x4
A prototype 4x4 armoured vehicle from Brazilian manufacturer Avibras has been displayed at LAAD for the first time.
The Guara has a unique four wheeled steering system that allows the driver to turn the wheels on both the front and rear axles.
A spokesperson for the company told Shephard that this feature allows for better mobility in built up urban areas with high density populations and it is being targeted at the Brazilian Army and homeland security forces.
Guara has Stanag level 3 armour protection and the variant on display has space for five soldiers and equipment, with a GVW
