IDEF 2015: Akkor protection system going active
The Akkor active protection system (APS) from Aselsan is moving towards entry into service, with a contract award due from the Turkish SSM in June.
At the IDEF exhibition in Istanbul, Kadir Karsli, project manager for Akkor at Aselsan, told Shephard that the system, which is currently being tested, was due to be fitted to the Altay MBT from 2018.
