IDEF 2019: UN, NATO orders for Guardian Xtreme following certification
NATO and the United Nations have ordered ‘a large number’ of International Armoured Group (IAG) Guardian Xtreme armoured vehicle following STANAG certification which came through at the end of March 2019.
The mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) 4x4 received STANAG-4569 level III ballistic and blast certification on the 29 March. NATO and the UN will now follow through with its commitment which it made to the vehicle earlier in 2019 as the deal was contingent on receiving the expected certification, explained Alper Alpay, General Manager at IAG.
