Bulgarian-UAE companies partner on APC prototypes
Bulgarian company Samel 90 and UAE-based International Armored Group (IAG) have launched a series of prototype APCs for the local market.
Variants displayed at the HEMUS event, which was officially opened on 30 May, included a command post variant featuring a command and control, communications (C3) payload integrated by German company Rohde & Schwarz, as well as 7.62mm machine gun RWS and anti-jamming configurations.
According to company officials, the prototype vehicles were completed just two-weeks ahead of the event.
The APC features options for either a turbo-charged V8 diesel or V10 gasoline engine with heavy duty automatic transmission and 4x4
