Glock delivers on Philippine pistol contract
All Glock 17 pistols for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) have been delivered to the country, with final testing and training now occurring.
Glock Asia Pacific won this $24.3 million contract for 74,861 Glock 17 Gen4 9mm pistols plus on 25 September 2017. Deliveries were able to proceed after the US granted an export licence.
Sven De Souter, Glock Asia-Pacific’s managing director, told Shephard, ‘After having become the major pistol supplier to the Philippine National Police in 2012, we are now nearing completion of the largest Glock contract in the Asia-Pacific region ever: 75,000 Glock G17
