With export licenses nearing approval, Glock expects that it will be able to start deliveries to the Philippines in the coming weeks, following the 2017 award to supply nearly 75,000 Glock 17 Gen 4 handguns to the country's armed forces.

The contract, valued at around £30 million ($39 million), makes the Philippines one of Glock's most significant operators both in the Asia-Pacific region and the world in general, Sven de Souter, MD Glock Asia-Pacific, told Shephard.
