DefExpo 2018: Mahindra pursues diversity with four MoUs
Mahindra Defence and Aeronautics announced four separate MoUs during DefExpo 2018, ranging from naval UAVs to amphibian aircraft to fast jets. Illustrating the company’s diverse portfolio, Mahindra also showed a new 4x4 protected vehicle on its stand.
Beginning with the latter, the Light Bullet-Proof Vehicle (LBPV) is a new platform designed to meet requirements of the Indian MoD and paramilitary forces. Indeed, the Indian Army is about 60% of the way through trials with two vehicles, while other security forces will test it later in the year.
