Australia receives first 40mm AGLs
The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has taken delivery of its first batch of 40mm General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems MK47 Mk 0 lightweight automatic grenade launchers (AGLs), it was announced on 13 July.
The first shipment passed its initial acceptance test, this occurring a month ahead of schedule. According to the original timetable, all weapons should be handed over by the end of July 2017.
Weapons are fitted with Raytheon’s AN/PVG-1 Lightweight Video Sight (LVS2) sight system that combines colour video with thermal imaging.
