AUSA 2013: Boeing DE selects RADA MHR for tests

Boeing has selected the Multi-Hemispheric Radar (MHR) to provide volume surveillance and threat detection for its Direct Energy tactical system.

Israel-based RADA Electronic Industries, which produces the MHR, announced its selection on 17 October, explaining how one of its MHR systems had been delivered to Boeing with evaluation and  field testing to begin shortly.

The MHR is an S-band, software defined, pulse Doppler, Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) solid state radar that employs beam forming capabilities and signal processing to conduct multiple missions on each radar platform, allowing it to offer volume search and detection of multiple threats, including
