Sweden trials passive sensor tech

Sweden has conducted trials of passive sensors that could be integrated into a wider air surveillance network, reducing its reliance on potentially vulnerable radar systems.

The Nordic country has been examining ways it can diversify its air defence assets and not solely rely on active sensors, especially radars that can be targeted by anti-radiation missiles or jammed in times of conflict.
