Australia looks towards space with force restructure, investment and training
Australia is looking to improve its presence in space with a focus on communications and creating a dedicated segment of its defence forces committed to the domain.
SRA International has been awarded two contracts by the United States Air Force (USAF) under the Network Centric Solutions 2 (NETCENTS 2) multiple award vehicle, the company announced on 23 June.
The company received a contract for application services with a ceiling value of $960 million, and a network operations and infrastructure solutions contract with a ceiling value of $7.9 billion. The NETCENTS 2 vehicle provides contracts for IT products, solutions, and services to support the USAF.
Under the contracts, SRA will compete for task orders to provide the USAF with IT products, services, and solutions for testing and operation, help desk support, training, integration, migration, sustainment and development of new mission applications and capabilities.
SRA will also provide services and solutions for network infrastructure and operations capabilities to help the Department of Defense operate and defend the global information grid.
