RUAG to upgrade Swiss armed forces’ BTS
RUAG Defence has received a contract to upgrade the broadband transmission system (BTS) of the routing network for the Swiss armed forces in Switzerland.
Under the contract the company will be responsible for integration of components into the existing infrastructure and materials deliveries.
The work is scheduled to be completed by 2021. RUAG Defence will also be responsible for maintenance, repair and overhaul until 2030.
The BTS is an element of the Swiss routing network, which is one of the three components of the armed force’s crisis-resistant information and communication technology systems.
