Rohde & Schwarz establishes R&S Marinesysteme
Rohde & Schwarz has established R&S Marinesysteme in Kiel, Germany, to expand its naval business, the company announced on 4 February.
R&S Marinesysteme will provide support to the German Navy and naval industry for current and future projects in collaboration with Rohde & Schwarz’s Hamburg location.
The new business will offer solutions for detecting and analysing communications and radar signals for the improvement of tactical situational awareness and platform protection. The focus will be on the implementation of information transmission systems that are used to manage and monitor communications traffic and take into account critical cybersecurity requirements.
Benjamin Marpe, managing director, R&S Marinesysteme, said: ‘We are pleased to be able to now provide even more specific support for our customers with innovative software solutions for communications and for communications intelligence and radar intelligence on board naval vessels.’
