Raytheon to repair AN/APY-10 radar system
Raytheon has received a $7.12 million order for the repair of the AN/APY-10 radar system used on the P-8A maritime patrol aircraft, the company announced on 1 February.
The AN/APY-10 is a maritime, littoral and overland surveillance radar. It is fully integrated into Boeing's Mission Control and Display System for control, display and data distribution on the P-8A. It can also provide a dedicated short exposure submarine periscope detection mode as well as ultra-high resolution imaging modes for maritime and overland operations.
Work on the contract, awarded by the US Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, is expected to be complete by January 2021.
