Philippines receives final Israeli air surveillance radars

In January the Philippines received the final two of three Elta ELM-2288-ER AD-STAR long-range air surveillance radars from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

These radars should be integrated into the Philippine Air Defense Control Center imminently.

Under the government-to-government contract signed in December 2014, the second and third radars were supposed to have been delivered by May and November 2018 respectively, but the cause of the delivery delay by IAI is not certain.
