Motorola Solutions to upgrade Pacific radio system
Motorola Solutions has been awarded a contract modification to upgrade and expand the Pacific Japan and Korea land mobile radio system.
The $10.1 million modification was announced by the US Department of Defense on 6 September.
In addition to upgrading and expanding the radio system, Motorola Solutions will connect sites to the current joint Japan land mobile radio system and to upgrade the US Army backup core infrastructure in Japan.
The work will support United States Army in Pacific operations.
The estimated completion date for the work is May 2023.
