Harris wins ADF radio system support contract
Harris Software Systems, the Australian subsidiary of Harris Corporation, has been awarded a support contract for Australian Defence Force (ADF) combat radios, as announced by the Ministry of Defence on 19 May.
The $61.29 million multi-year contract covers radio repair and sustainment services for the next generation of the ADF's communications capability.
The contract will provide essential support services and ongoing alignment with tactical communication capabilities.
Under the contract, Harris Software Systems will maintain more than 15,000 radios across Australia and deployed on operations, to ensure that ADF personnel continue to operate with the latest military communications technologies and modern software-definable radios that form the tactical communications backbone of ADF land operations.
