Harris bags radio support contract
A Central Asian nation has awarded a contract to Harris Corporation to provide support services for its advanced tactical radio systems, the company announced on 1 October.
The contract is valued at $38 million and will see the company establish in-country capabilities to provide technical support, training and maintenance services.
Harris radios are used for critical video, voice and data connectivity in the battlefield by the unnamed customer.
Chris Young, president, Harris Communication Systems, said: ‘The award expands Harris’ leadership position in providing advanced tactical radios and support to the Central Asian nation and other customers around the world.’
