GTT receives telecom services contract

GTT Communications has received a contract from the Defensive Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) to provide telecom services in Afghanistan, the company announced on 19 July.

DITCO is the contracting arm of the US Defense Information Systems Agency. The three-year contract is valued at $24 million.

GTT owns and operates a global Tier 1 internet network and provides a comprehensive suite of cloud networking services to any location in the world.

Rick Calder, president and CEO, GTT, said: ‘GTT has the unique network assets and service capabilities to serve the stringent requirements of large government organisations for high-performance, secure connectivity to any location around the world. This latest contract builds on our established track record providing telecom services to the US military.’
