GD to support US BICES-X
General Dynamics Information Technology will deliver enterprise IT services to the US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems Extended (BICES-X) programme under a contract announced on 12 August.
The single award IDIQ contract has a potential value of $881 million over eight years if all options are exercised.
US BICES-X is a worldwide capability consisting of hardware, software, communications and integrated processes, providing end-to-end collaboration services in support of US and foreign partner users from national to tactical levels.
The contract builds on the company’s experience of providing support to US operations working with NATO and other coalition partners, to enable the Department of Defense to support worldwide coalition operations.
Additionally, the company will provide global defence organisations and combatant commands with secure, agile support to deliver timely information sharing and collaboration services.
Bernie Guerry, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology's Intelligence Solutions division, said: ‘General Dynamics is delivering vital services for US BICES-X customers across the globe and we are committed to ensuring that the programme continues to meet the operational needs of all of its warfighting stakeholders.’
